GoldCoast Oceanfest 2011

GoldCoast Oceanfest 2011

Maverick Slacklines was in attendance at the Goldcoast Oceanfest last weekend, down by the sea at Croyde Bay. The slackline crew were invited to run demos and workshops, and for many people introduce them to slacklining for the first time. There was a lot of love for the slackline with many people wanting to find out what it was all about and get involved. The workshops proved just how addictive this sport really is, everybody kept coming back for another go!

The slackline crew really stepped it up this weekend, feast your eyes on these pics:

Jennings nailed some of the gnarliest combos of the weekend going huge on just about everything! We also have a world first with his new signature trick, the Lazyboy Chestbounce. The Lazyboy means launching into a chestbounce with your hands behind your head, a proper hardcore move.

Maverick core crew member Ryan was pulling backflips for burgers all weekend, and also nailed a brand new move which he named “sticky Indian”, super tech!

We left the festival bruised and battered but feeling so stoked on how well it all went down. The world of slacklining is an exciting place to be right now!
